Finally after endless night for 2 days, got time to sleep liao. After presentation, we brought Dr Padmesh to Sunway Pyramid to eat at Nandos. One friend sih beh wu lui, use his card swipe everyone eat de. 

And this is the Andy of our class. Damn f**king man, he wore like a McD cashier and he call that professional engineer and he's the only person with tie. WtF!

Finally had some spare time to do something. Waiting for the others to sent me their part of the ppt. Next week should be study week, but our results are so worse that the lecturer are so worried that we have to go back for revision and retests. Sigh~

1. Chemical Car
   Despite being one of the main attractions to this sem's engineering fair, it's sadly concluded that we failed. We had a lot of problems and one of them is that our 6 person group is left with 4! Those EE, shoot them kao kao when write report on why we failed.
   
   The pic in the middle is the one I designed with AutoCAD, but the outcome was WAY different than what we expected. It was like a Bazooka!
   
   
   We couldn't manage to make it on the wheels. The EE were supposed to make the rack. But we end up fixing everything after we fixed our own task. Most fire is the EE guy keep sabotage our thing! 
   
   
   
   
2. Some power generator ><
   
   
   This is a power generator with rain in countries with lots of rain like Malaysia. The water collected hits the turbine and it spins. 
   
   
3. Carpark  sensors
   
   This is a good device in carparks for those who doesn't know how to park a car. With sensors in the ground, it signals whether you're parking correctly.
   
   
4. Home security alarm
   
   
   Mind the guy behind, haha. This is cool, something like the red lasers used in movies when the theif needs his soft bone to pass through all the laser beams.
   
   
5. Popcorn making machine
   
   
   This is an engineer's way of making popcorn. Using heat through air flow pops the corn. The corns turn lighter and floats into the other compartment. Nice popcorn to bite during the fair :)
   
   
6. Steel Bioreacter & Glass Bioreactor
   
   
   I totally don't know what the reactors are for! But the glass bioreacter won 1st prize! RM800 i think man. That's a pretty amount XD

There were a lot of other inventions including leg-powered toilet where you open the lid and flush with your leg. One is a synthetic jet where it is better know to mix thing with vibration, aka called the vibrator. More to talk on but have to ciao soon.

Short update. Haven't been able to blog for some time. Did the chemical car till 2am today. They went to Mcd for supper till 3. Finally finished Engineering Fair, but we have to write a report why we used rm500 with some car that is a failure. Sigh. Cant go back sleep yet. Now still preparing slides for tomorrow's presentation. Somebody save me!

So tired and dizzy man! Maybe cant tahan already.

Failed the dynamics exam. Apparently, i think only 3% of the class passed. What a lousy lecturer. Did nothing much today. Got some new task, and finally finished one. Keep hooooolding onnnnn~ T.T

Today is day 2 and yet I haven't finish any of the task. Did mass balance for the styrene presentation. Almost done my refrigeration cycle report. Going to start study for my Elec exam on thursday. Didn't go to chemical car meeting today cuz too busy. 

p/s: Presentation rescheduled to saturday. Year2 sem1 no semester exam. Woohoo!

Not posting much this week. It's the last week of this semester. Have to rush everything. Had some progress with our chemical car. Going to discuss more about our styrene manufacturing presentation tomorrow. Tonight going to try and finish my refrigeration cycle. Sigh~ So many thing to do. Celebrated Wei Hong's bday today. They toook sooo many cans of Milo from the school canteen fridge. @.@

Had a very very rushy feeling this morning. I should have awoken by 6 and reached the campus by 7.10am. But I woke up at 7.25am instead. Then I panic'ed. Had a simple bath then rushed to campus in a taxi. There was a traffic jam, heck lucky that I still manage to arrive in time before the competition starts to arrange everything I've been instructed to. 

After that, we took off in a bus to Carey Island for a field trip. We're going to visit a biodiesel plant owned by Sime Darby.

After the 1.30 hour ride, we arrived safely at the destination. Here is the place where we can turn palm oil, or even COOKING OIL! into fuel that could power a diesel engine. The nice guy welcomed us with a warm smile and told us we had to take off our shoes before entering the office.

We only had our Dr Padmesh accompany us today cuz Dr Marwan had to organize the CO2 Car competition back at campus. The indian lecturer, despite new to us, was still ok. He's very nice and anything also can cam siam one. 

Inside, we took some picture, had some chats before they brief us about biodiesel and also the safety inside the plant.

Biodiesel is actually an ester made from palm oil and and alchohol. It's a good fuel to replace diesel in the future. After the powerpoint presentations, we had to prepare to go to the plant like the one in the modal above. 

We had to put on safety helmets, and hard boots. The previous group used it and left some sweats in some of the equipments. Yucks! Luckily we don't have to use earplugs here. We're armed with the best defence and off we go to the plant.

As we were approaching the plant, we were instructed to turn off our cellphones to avoid taking pictures. Confidential confidential

After returning, we were back with our busy schedule. Have to finish a report and assignment, and we have a lab experiment today also!

Had a lite lunch at McD and we continued with our work. Then we paused and went to lab. Today we're experimenting on Electrical and Electronics Systems and we were taught how to design the things on our calculator :)

We were given a board and many wires and had to do some connecting with logic gates. Back to high school thing, but more complicated. 

In high school we're having AND and Or gates, but here we're using a K-Map to make everything easier. Heard that EE are lazy people and they always make thing easier for them. 

We wanted to make something different instead of 1~9. So at last we made a small letter 'o' XD

The lower part was not clear cuz we connected the wire to the negative end. Oops

Then we're back with our work and rushed everything. Finished all the work just in time for the 5.30 bus.

It's the end of the week but we have tons left to do. Next week is the last week of study. With no much time left, there's still:

1. Elec and Electronic Exam.
2. Maths and Computing Exam
3. Finish Design for Chemical Car
4. Prepare for final presentation on manufacturing of Styrene
5. Experiment long report
6. Field trip report

GOD! give me more time

Today, unlike any other day, was as tiring as ever. Everything had been normal until we started to build the chemical car. There so many troubleshootings, leakage in fittings, which composition of reactants to be used. For the Electrical guys, they had to figure out how to make their nozzle pronto. The Mechanicals were off early due to special business. 

I was trying to screw everything tight and get a right apparatus to test the composition i needed for the experiment. I had some accident and squinched some meat on my palm. >.<

Then I managed to get everything I needed, so I test-run my experiment. The 1st go was spraying everywhere cuz the pressure was too big and there were so many leakage from the parts I 'borrowed' from the other teams. Done some tries, and got the pressure for 250,000 Pascal. But there was another requirement - to produce constant pressure for 10 secs. After few failures and some miscalculations, finally got something that can hand in tomorrow. 

Then I went to checked with the others. The EE was struggling. He wasted so long hand carving the turbine, when the ME could use machine to help them in a giffy. The ME were insufficient of pipe fittings. 

We only have the body, haven't glued them either. It was like closing in on 9. All the students have left the campus. In the end, we ended with no turbine and no cap for the lower chamber. Sigh! We sended the supervisor a dissapointing message but yet he thanked us. Sorry for not able to finish the car to 'show off' to the secondaries in tomorrow's  'CO2 Car' competition.

When we reached home, had to rush with another report due tomorrow, and one assignment. GOD where is my bedtime. Gotta sign out now, need to wake up early to help set up the competition and aslo go for a field trip to the plant.

Woke up so early today, at 2pm to read through all the notes. The laws were boring like hell and they just pass through my head liao zoom~ Then I cant tahan stop at 3 to play game. Met Kiat at 4 when I decided to go back to bed. 

The presentation was like shit. Didn't even prepare. Simply say say, but another lecturer came and ask question. So terrible. I was like yes, no....oh, then it's a yes, when I said no again, he said no is the right answer. Sigh! Dynamics die lo~

The exam was also swimming in a puddle of shit looking for a white thread. People all beh tahan and start cheating and while thinking of the answer, I saw the most high skilled, almost-as-if-no-delay movements and good acting. But alas, we ended it and it's finally free for the week.

Then we went to Sakae Sushi at Sunway Piramid. We're suppose to go when you guys came but sorry I didnt see they only serve on weekdays. 

It was 3.30pm and we're in time to kick start for the buffet. We can choose any pink and green dishes, unlimitedly. 

Immediately we sank into our seats and we start to grab any green and pink plates we can see. But there was none! Jiun's mum was grumbling how bohua the buffet was when we only choose from simply egg or cucumber sushi. I went to ask the supervisor and learnt that we can actually order the dishes from the computer. Ah! That makes everything easier :)

As we know, one person would go to a buffet wanting to each back the money they paid for. We have 5 person so would have to gulp down rm110++. We order tons and tons and tons. As well know, sushi are quite expensive and one dish is actually 3 dishes as they pile them all together. Overall I think we ate more than rm200. Got hua right? 

At last we left a few which we could stuff it down anymore. Then what we do best at Hertz Chicken, we try to separate everything and hide them everywhere so that we don't get fined.

Then the females went shopping. Left me there jaga the things bought earlier. I thought they were going for a while. So I bought a regular Sprite from McD and waited. Then I remembered, they are females! They pose a new treat!

I don't know what a confession a shopaholic would have, but I sure have experienced the danger of shopaholics. Initially, we said we would go back at 6pm, enough time for me to finally go to gym. But....I waited till 6.30, 7....I wanted to get a trolley to put the things so I can walk walk. Went to Giant and take one and left, but moment later, a guard rushed here and pulled the trolley without listening to my reason. After I returned back, chun chun found a trolley next to the escalator, I rushed to get it and then I push in front of the guard and stand there. Hmph~

Bought another gulp of 100plus and drenched them down. Then I waited again. Man, this is the longest time I glued my ass on something waiting. I might actually be patient enough to catch a great bass! 

Finally we went back at 8.30 >.< 

Have to visit a biodiesel plant on friday. So song!

Today's exam was okay la. I early wake up study also no use. Lucky Ah Bird taught me well, lots of lurve. Choose organic chemistry :) Everyone cheat chin chin, even saw the lecturer the guy took the paper from another guy. Haha.

I just know I have to present tomorrow. Have to help the LAZY lecturer present to the class. So Stupid! I have examinations tomorrow still. WTF! Boh Pian lo :(

Went to Face 2 face eat today, not bad la. Serve some Sarawak food. The dumplings is really nice, with the spicy-sour-sweet sause.

Then we had follow-up with our chemical car. We had to fix a leak in the pressure gauge. So I did some work, drilled the seal from a teflon and fixed it. Finally can start doing experiment. 

We had to mix acetic acid (CH3COOH) with baking soda (Na2CO3) to produce CO2 for the car. The thing was damn smelly and the other groups had to bear with me. Hehe.

We were having 0.8 bar, 3 bar, 3.18 bar then kaboom! 3 bar is like 300,000 Pascal and the bottle was even harder than a coconut. Lucky I didn't injure anyone. Xp

As you can see, the whole thing broke! So kinteo~ Luckily no glass poke anyone. See the seal I made from the teflon thing. 

Then our supervisor showed us how to drill the pipe with a proper way, cuz it might be dangerous since my incident. 

The one in red is Mr Rahim, a chemical engineer who is in charge of all the labs and Dr Marwan is the right is the unit coordinator for CE and also my supervisor for my project.

Task for today:

This morning woke up at 2am, thought I needed the bathroom. False alarm. Then I was so tired, slept very late for several nights consecutive. 

When I reach the campus, suddenly realised it was Dynamics again. *Heads start to pain* Today, some selected students will replace the lazy lecturer to teach the class. Poor guys and it end up same, everyone no chap siaw anything and we learn nothing. 

Next lesson was MATLAB (Matrix Laboratory) but due to the fact that the computer lab was too small, we were divided into two batches. We had to start at 11, so we had one hour of free time.

We spot a KFC coupon and our eyes suddenly grew big! Then we decided to go there to have breakfast. 

The were having free teh tarik, Malaysian's favourite morning drink(more in the Penisular) When we reach there, soooo UNLUCKILY, they don't serve breakfast. We walked so far just for this, so couldnt go back empty stomach, so we ate something else.

MATLAB was okay lah, learn how to do simple calculations and graphs plotting with the programme. Might be useful for person who wants to become as programmer. During lunch we need to do to some course evaluation survey for this semester. Every lecturer was mostly praised except one. Everyone shoot kao kao till cannot tahan. Some nice quotes were:

"The class was so bad I rather stayed at home on my bed counting sheeps than falling asleep in class"

"We paid so much tuition fees to get taught but we still end up teaching ourselves"

"The exam papers never give back lah, dunno got recycled or not"

"Somebody save us! Somebody save him!"

Then we had Electrical and Electronics class. Misses the bus so go buy slurpee. Finally the machine is not broken :) 

When we reach home, immediately bath then sleep. *ZzzzzZzzz*

p/s: One book overdue, kena fine lor

Woke up early this morning as we had to go back to campus to build our chemical car. Made breakfast this morning and had so many failures. 

First I fried the omellette, then i wanted to make that chesse thing. Unfortunately, I burnt the back of the bun with the multi purpose cooker. Then I switched to the microwave oven instead.

Then we went to Campus at 9. But the guy who postponed the meeting yesterday didnt ask the supervisor to come today. Had to wait till 12 something for him to reach.

We started work and did our things. The labs here are sooo....*shake head* We paid so much tuition fees and they dont even have white PVC tape and even seals. We had to make our own seals. Then there's drilling and some sawing also.

Next we went to Carrefour to do some groceries. Saw a book clearance there which sells books in pounds and usd for only rm3. But all of them are not in full series. 

We then left our packages home and took off to the pasar malam that we brought Kiat to last week. Basically, we had the same thing, kuehteow, lots and lots of chicken wings, coconut juice, otak otak, kebab etc

FREAKING BURSTING now... BuRp~~

Suddenly so hungry, so go opposite to buy roti canai, also bought some for ling, so post for u. HAHA

Got Roti tisu, filled with susu.... and also one bowl of extra susu, and also normal roti canai, with spicy and chilli curry. Yummy~

together with sunkist's orange juice with many many juicy pulps.... GREAT DINNER XD

We waited for a cab but couldn't find any, instead it was an MPV!!

But leh...a good ride comes with a good price of course. The return trip cost approximately rm280.
